Oman

[back]

Thanks heaps to the lovely Jeffery and Jocelyn Orchard for picking me up from the airport in Muscat.

First thing to see after exiting the airport is this funky roundabout clock tower mural. Oman in general has the funkiest roundabout centrepieces... I love them!

Then it was off into the hills in the trusty Pajero.  These photos were taken from the car on the way from Muscat to Bahla.

There are some photos from the Bahla town.

A couple of photos of  Nizwa  Souq, which was in the next town.

There are some photos of a local water hole in Bahla with some of the "crew".

We were all invited to lunch at the Sheik's house, which was fun.

On the way to dropping Kirk and Rebecca off at the airport, we stopped to do a tour of the Muscat Grand Mosque.  I had to borrow Kirk's shirt and Rebecca's scarf to be "acceptable". What I actually look like is a bag lady.

A thank you to the taxi driver who took me from Bahla to Muscat for the trip home.  He was very good. Thanks to the guys who did the cooking for finding him.
